It’s Engagement Season….
Congratulations on your Engagement! We know how incredibly exciting it is and of course the first thing you want to do is announce it to the world (as you should)! Upon your new engagement, take a minute to relax and enjoy the moment.
Here are a few tips when announcing your new engagement:
1. Before posting that picture of your ring, take a moment with your partner to cherish the time and place. As soon as it is announced, you will naturally receive many messages of Congratulations! The next thing that will happen are these kind of questions: When is the wedding? Have you found a dress? What venue did you pick? How many people will be in your bridal party? So before posting sit down with your new fiance and celebrate your engagement together! Take some time to enjoy your new engagement and figure out your wedding day vision.
2. We know how difficult it can be to connect with your close family and friends these days but it is always fun to share the news in person! This will let them know how important they are to you. You do not want your parents to find out about your engagement through Facebook or from someone else telling them.
3. If letting someone know in person isn’t possible, phone calls are the next best option in letting your close friends and extended family know the news. This is an exciting announcement, and everyone wants to congratulate and celebrate with you. The most importance advice we can give is to make sure you have reached out to all those that are close to you prior to announcing the news on social media.
With social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram, the days of friends and family finding out about your engagement in the local newspaper’s announcement page are gone (But this is still a cute option for you to utilize if you would like). Social media is an amazing tool to let people know the exciting news! When we find an engagement post on social media we are always so excited! This is a milestone worth celebrating for the couple and we are thrilled to be able to congratulate them so be sure to enjoy the moment and treasure all of the love coming from those closest to you!
